Privacy Policy

Summary

• The student app and public marketing pages need no account and have no advertising or analytics. The private event editor requires an approved account.
• Your study data in the app stays on your device.
• Some requests necessarily reach service providers: the website host for every page, and Supabase when the app loads internships or curated club events, and the university portal when it loads university events. These providers keep request logs that include your IP address, device or browser information, and an approximate location derived from the IP address.
• ECEUH does not sell or share personal information for advertising.

This website

The public marketing pages at eceuh.com set no cookies, load no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and store nothing in your browser. The separate private event editor handles account and event information as described below. The interactive preview of the app (Home, the resume path, the Digital Logic lab, and flashcards) runs entirely in your browser, keeps what you enter only in the page’s memory, and does not save or send it.

The site is hosted by Vercel. To deliver pages and protect the service, Vercel processes request information such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page, and the time of the request, and may keep it in server logs. Vercel's own policy governs how long those logs are kept.

Private club event editor

The event editor is for approved administrators. Email addresses and passwords entered during sign-in or account creation are sent over HTTPS to Supabase Authentication. ECEUH does not store passwords in page files or browser storage. The editor keeps session tokens in this tab's session storage so a refresh can retain your sign-in; signing out clears them. A password-reset link's token is read from the link, removed from the address bar, kept only in the page's memory, and discarded once the new password is saved. Closing the tab normally clears this storage, but browser session restoration may restore it.

Event drafts, review notes, source posting and editing times, and editor audit identifiers are stored in Supabase with restricted access. Published event details, selected public source links, and review/update times are available to app readers. Drafts, private notes, and editor identities are not part of the public feed. Avoid placing unnecessary personal information in event descriptions or public links.

Screenshot import reads the text of a chosen screenshot inside the editor's browser tab. The image and its recognized text are not uploaded or saved; they stay in the tab until the import is closed, cancelled, replaced, or you sign out. The browser caches the downloaded text-recognition model, not screenshots or text. Only the fields you review and save become part of an event.

Withdrawing an event removes it from the curated feed; it preserves the record for editing and review. Account and record deletion requests can be made through the contact below. Clearing browser storage does not delete server records. Supabase processes authentication and API request logs under its own policy.

The iOS app

Stored on your device

• Preferences: light or dark theme, your app icon choice, and which color the Clubs card showed last.
• Flashcard ratings, review schedules, and unfinished review rounds.
• Practice attempts, missed problems, and exam results; saved logic expressions and bookmarks.
• Your internship shortlist and notes, and your review-reminder preference.
• Resumes you write or import, including the saved original text or file of an import. A chosen PDF, DOCX, or pasted text is read and formatted on the device; nothing is kept until you save, and Cancel discards it. Exported PDFs leave the app only through the share sheet when you choose.

Other study data stays on your device. The resume builder offers an optional existing-account sign-in; sign-in sends the email address and password you enter over HTTPS to Supabase Authentication, and the session is kept in the device keychain. Guest resumes are not moved into an account unless you confirm. When signed in, the app may attempt to sync resumes in that account’s library through Supabase; resume sync is not yet available.

Not collected

• No account is required, and nothing in the app sends a user identifier unless you sign in to the optional resume account described above.
• No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• No calendar, camera, photo, location, microphone, or contacts permission is requested. If you turn on the daily review reminder, the app asks for notification permission and schedules a local notification on the device; turning it off cancels it. Add to Calendar opens the system event editor, so the app holds no calendar access.

Network requests

• Internships. When you open the Internships tab or refresh it, the app reads a public list of internship listings from Supabase without signing in. Supabase keeps request logs for each request, including your IP address, the user agent (which identifies the app version and iOS version), the requested URL, the response status, and an approximate location such as city, region, and country derived from the IP address. These logs are used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service and are kept for the period set by the Supabase plan and policy. The app never accesses your device's GPS or location services.
• Club events. The Events tab reads public university events from UH Get Involved and curated events from Supabase without student sign-in. Requests expose normal network information, including IP address and request time, to those providers. The app keeps event display fields and refresh times on your device for offline viewing. Opening a source link sends a separate request to that source.
• Links you open. Course resources, faculty pages, club pages, reading links, and employer career sites open in Safari, outside the app. Those websites receive your request and apply their own policies.
• Campus map. The map view loads map tiles from Apple, which receives the tile requests under Apple’s policy. The app does not use location services; the place list is bundled with the app, and directions open in Apple Maps or the university map site when you choose.

Older versions

Earlier versions of ECEUH offered accounts and a planner. This version does not read old planner or semester data and cancels pending reminders left by the old planner when it launches. Calendar events exported by an older version remain in your calendar, where you can manage them. For an account created in an older version, see Removing data.

Email

If you email mail@felipejmiranda.com, the message, your email address, and anything you attach reach the developer's mailbox and are handled by that email provider. They are used to handle your request and fix the issue you report.

Removing data

• Delete App removes ECEUH along with everything inside its app storage, including resumes and import originals. Files you saved elsewhere, such as exported PDFs, events you added to your calendar, and sign-in items in the device keychain (from an older version or the current optional sign-in) can remain. Device and iCloud backups are managed in iOS and iCloud settings.
• Offload App (in iPhone Storage or iPad Storage settings) removes the app but keeps its documents and data for a later reinstall, so it does not delete your data.
• Clear this website's data in your browser settings to remove any editor session stored in this tab. Sign out of the editor to clear its session explicitly.
• To request removal of an editor account, stored event-review data, a resume account or an account from an older version, or support emails, write to mail@felipejmiranda.com from the address involved.
