Questions
Where can I download ECEUH?
From the App Store: ECEUH on the App Store. It is free in the US for iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. There is no other official download.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. On iPhone the app runs in portrait; on iPad it also supports landscape.
Do I need an account?
No. The study tools, archives, internships, events, and the on-device resume builder work without an account. The current build also offers an existing-account sign-in in the resume builder. Guest resumes are not moved into an account unless you confirm; when signed in, the app may attempt to sync that account’s resumes, but resume sync is not yet available.
What works without an internet connection?
The Digital Logic lab, the flashcards, practice problems and bundled practice coursework, and on-device resume editing work offline. The campus map’s place list is bundled too.
The internship feed, the events feed, map tiles, and any website you open, such as course references, faculty pages, club pages, or employer career sites, need a connection.
Does the app include course handouts, quizzes, or solutions?
ECEUH bundles practice coursework for its live courses, along with the Digital Logic lab, the flashcard decks, a formula reference, and curated links to external resources. It does not publish instructors’ exams or answer keys. It is an independent student project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Houston or any instructor, and its explanations may contain errors; email a correction if you find one.
Where do internship listings come from?
From a public feed of electrical, embedded, hardware, and semiconductor roles checked against employer career sites. Each listing shows when it was last checked. Apply on the employer's own site; ECEUH is not involved in hiring.
Troubleshooting
Internships don't load
- Check that your device is online, then pull down on the Internships list or choose Retry refresh.
- If the list is empty after a successful refresh, try clearing the search and filters.
- If it still fails, email the message shown in the app.
A lab or flashcard shows something wrong
- Update to the latest version from the App Store.
- Email the screen, the inputs you used, and a screenshot.
A linked website won't open
Links to course resources, clubs, faculty pages, and employers go to other websites, which can move or go offline. Email the link so it can be fixed.
Removing your data
ECEUH keeps your study data on your device: theme and app icon choice, flashcard ratings, review schedules and unfinished rounds, practice attempts, mistakes, and exam results, saved logic expressions and bookmarks, your internship shortlist and notes, reminder preferences, and resumes you write or import (including the saved original of an import). None of it has a server copy. Accounts and support emails are covered below.
- Delete App (touch and hold the icon, then Remove App and Delete App) removes ECEUH along with everything inside its app storage, including resumes and import originals.
- Offload App (Settings, General, iPhone Storage or iPad Storage, ECEUH) removes the app but keeps its documents and data, so they return if you reinstall. Choose Delete App instead to remove the data.
- Files you saved elsewhere, such as exported resume or practice PDFs, and events you added to your calendar stay where they are; manage them in Files and Calendar. Sign-in items saved to the device keychain, by an older version or by the current existing-account sign-in, can also remain after deletion.
- Device and iCloud backups are managed separately in iOS and iCloud settings.
If you have an ECEUH account, from an older version or the current sign-in, or want support emails you sent removed, email mail@felipejmiranda.com from the address you used.
